Websites

Shopify is an option, not the default

If you sell things, you need a store. That does not mean the whole site should look like Shopify.

I use Shopify as the shop layer — catalog, cart, checkout — then design the pages people actually land on. The homepage still has to say who you are. The product page still has to look like you.

If you do not sell, skip it. A contact path is cheaper than a cart you will not use.

E-commerce is the page for this. The public site still sits with websites and apps. More notes under Websites.
